join175 Michael Jackson and Aretha Franklin To Be Inducted Into Apollo Legends Hall of FameTonight ( June 14, 2010) the Apollo Theater in Harlem, NY will induct two royal new honorees into the Apollo Legends Hall of Fame: the undisputed King of Pop [lastfm]Michael Jackson[/lastfm], and the one and only Queen of Soul [lastfm]Aretha Franklin[/lastfm].

The Apollo Theater’s 2010 Annual Spring Benefit Concert and Awards Ceremony will be hosted by comedian, multi-platinum recording artist and Academy-award winning actor Jamie Foxx. Also, the Ruby Dee & Ossie Davis Arts and Humanitarian Award presented to couple [lastfm]Jennifer Lopez[/lastfm] and [lastfm]Marc Anthony[/lastfm].

The benefit will also include special appearances by Angela Basset, Danny Glover and Chris Tucker and performances by [lastfm]Sharon Jones[/lastfm], [lastfm]Estelle[/lastfm], [lastfm]Leslie Uggams[/lastfm], [lastfm]Donnie McClurkin[/lastfm], [lastfm]Marsha Ambrosius[/lastfm] of [lastfm]Floerty [/lastfm]and [lastfm]Clark King[/lastfm].
