Due to the Gulf of Mexico oil disaster, BP definitely has a black eye and some BP stations are switching to another brand name.  CLICK MORE for details.

Many motorists are so upset over the unparalleled oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico that they are boycotting BP stations.  This is hurting the local BP proprietors who had nothing to do with the spill.  Some BP stations are changing to a new fuel.  At least two BP stations in the Detroit area have switched to Sunoco brand of fuels.  Other BP stations are trying to lure customers in with lower prices.

Several BP dealers in the Detroit Metro Area are trying to figure out how to get out of their leases with BP due to lagging sales.
