[lastfm]Phil Collins[/lastfm] ‘fessed up to Billboard  that he’s currently writing a book about his collection of Alamo and Texas Revolution artifacts.  He hopes to have it published in 2012.

Collins became interested in Texas history as a boy by watching “Davy Crockett. ” As an adult he’s gathered up  a broad collection including a variety of weapons, clothing and receipts. Collins says “It’s a huge collection of memorabilia from the Alamo and before and after it, basically the Texas Revolution in general.” He adds “It’s basically the history of all the things I’ve collected and putting them in the context of the revolution. It’s in progress and it’s entertaining.”
