Initially, Chrysler said it hoped to establish 165 Fiat dealers in the U.S. by early 2011 and that the company eventually planned to set up 200 dealerships. But yesterday those figures changed just a bit.
Chrysler now says it has started the process of letting dealers know who will be getting 119 U.S. outlets. The dealerships will be selling new Fiat 500 mini-cars, vehicles that have been very popular in Europe.
As for Detroit dealers getting the green light to sell the new cars, we’re hearing that three Metro Detroit dealerships will get the nod. And the new Fiat 500s should be here just in time for Christmas.
