Angry passengers want to know why [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Madonna[/lastfm] was let off a grounded flight two hours before others, including other first-class passengers.
Dailymail.co.uk reported the flight was stuck on the tarmac in Stansted Airport after already being delayed 90-minutes in New York. The flight ran into a log jam of take offs due to bad weather. While Virgin Atlantic passengers had to wait 3 hours, Madonna and her 15 people entourage were whisked away via bus back to the terminal after only an hour. Before Madonna left she practiced yoga in the aisle.
A spokesman for Virgin says:
“As the plane was diverted to Stansted due to very difficult weather conditions, disembarkation was delayed while ground staff waited for buses to transport customers back to London Heathrow. We apologise for any inconvenience this diversion caused, but for safety reasons this action was unavoidable… It is common across airlines that business and first-class passengers disembark first and this is reflected in the higher cost of the ticket.”
This doesn’t explain anything as the other first-class passengers were not released early.
