Most Americans don’t celebrate Boxing Day but if the province of Ontario can declare December 26 a statutory holiday then us metro Detroiters can join in on the fun! After all we are only a stones throw away!
Boxing Day was traditionally a day to give boxes of gifts or money to the poor or servants. It is also known as St. Stephen’s Day. While some continue to make it a day of giving others opt to just get out and enjoy the day with friends and family.
