MICHIGAN – For $1, customers at participating Wendy’s restaurants in the Detroit area can purchase an all-access pass to a year of free Jr. Frostys while supporting local Michigan adoption programs through the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.

From January through March, 2011 (while supplies last), customers can purchase a $1 Frosty key tag at participating Wendy’s in the Detroit area. By showing the key tag on subsequent visits to Wendy’s, customers will receive a free Jr. Frosty, with any purchase, as often as they wish through December 31, 2011. Wendy’s will donate the net proceeds of key tag sales to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption in support of Michigan adoption programs.

“Every child deserves a family,” said Rita Soronen, president and CEO of the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. “Our partnership with Wendy’s and the sale of Frosty key tags makes it easy for people to support our work. The funds raised will have a large impact on helping local foster care children in Michigan find permanent, loving, adoptive homes.”

Howard O’Brien, Wendy’s Detroit co-op president, said, “We strive to keep Dave Thomas’ ideas and beliefs at the heart of the Wendy’s culture. One thing that Dave believed was that everyone has a responsibility to give something back, to help those who can’t help themselves. This key tag fundraiser is one way of giving back to the community where we live and work.”

I can’t seem to find a location that is participating in the key tag.
Can you help me? I work in Dearborn and live in Woodhaven. Any around these areas?

    Thanks

WOMC webmaster here – I purchased four at the Ferndale location on Woodward on January 6 – One for me and three for friends. Not sure of they are still available there or not. Good luck!
