This week is the 47th anniversary of [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]The Beatles[/lastfm]’ first U.S. visit.

Two days after The Beatles performed on The Ed Sullivan Show in 1964 they held a concert at the Coliseum in Washington D.C. The event was tele-cast to movie theaters around the country.That film has not been widely broadcasted since.

That will all change tomorrow night. The LaTimes.com reports on Friday, February 11, 2011 the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood will show film of the entire concert including pre-taped performances by [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]The Beach Boys[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Lesley Gore[/lastfm].

While kinescope copies played in theaters in the 1970’s this is the first time since 1964 the original videotapes will be shown publicly.
