Video still

It seems rock stars can’t get enough of astronauts and vice versa!

Last summer U2 collaborated with NASA during the European leg of the 360 Degree world tour and today  [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Jethro Tull[/lastfm] frontman Ian Anderson performed with US astronaut and fellow flutist, Catherine Coleman. Anderson was on a concert stage in Russia while Coleman’s performance was fed via a video feed from the International Space Station!

They performed Jethro Tull’s Bouree to celebrate Yuri Gagarin’s inaugural space flight in 1961.

Catherine Coleman is my favorite NASA nerd and I mean that in the sincerest fashion. Check her out in this Christmas greeting!
