Tens of thousands of people are expected to gather outside Comerica Park in downtown Detroit tomorrow morning for a prayer walk. And WOMC’s Chuck Gaidica helped organizers put the event together.
Depending on the turnout, up to 40,000 people from hundreds of Metro Detroit area churches are expected to gather outside Comerica Park tomorrow morning for a 9 o’clock program followed by a walk to the Spirit of Detroit on Woodward Avenue.
It’s called Each Today and for months now, WOMC’s Chuck Gaidica has been helping organizers plan the details. The idea is to give “everyone a chance to hear.” Spend some time on the Each Today website and you’ll be a much better understanding of what the event is all about. There will be speeches, music and more.
The event begins at 9am just outside Comerica Park but to make sure you can find parking, you should probably plan to arrive no later than 8 o’clock. All of the Ilitch parking garages will offer $5 parking for the event.
After the program ends outside of Comerica Park, participants will walk down Woodward Avenue to the Spirit of Detroit outside the Coleman A. Young Municipal Building. Participants will then walk back to Comerica and the event should come to a close between 11:30am and noon.
