The American Red Cross is always looking for blood donors. And today they’re going to be in Troy and they hope to see you there!

Take a look at your husband or wife today. Take a look at your kids. Take a look at your friends and associates at work. Any one of them could need a blood transfusion to pull through an accident or medical emergency. Think about that and consider becoming a blood donor. As things stand now, only 38% of Americans are donors.

The Spring Red Cross Blood Drive takes place today at the Troy Community Center today from 9am-3pm. To donate, however, you must first make an appointment to make sure they can accommodate those who show up. The easiest way to make your appointment is online. Above and beyond the need for blood, the Amerian Red Cross of Southeastern Michigan could also use your monetary donations to help both people in our own community and our neighbors in Japan who have been through so much with the earthquake and tsunamis.
