Julien’s Auction House has said the autographed red and black leather jacket is “the most recognized and significant piece of pop culture“ to come up for sale, and they expect it to sell for at least $200,000 at the Music Icons Auction on June 25th and 26th.
Other MJ items up for sale include the wig he wore when he announced his This Is It concerts, his shirt from the “Scream” video, and the battered mailbox from the estate where he died in 2009.
Also up for auction at the Music Icons Sale, is [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Frank Sinatra[/lastfm]’s patent leather boots and 1986 Jaguar, jackets and a guitar from [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Elvis Presley[/lastfm], a signed harmonica from [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Bob Dylan[/lastfm], and nearly 600 other pieces of music memorabilia.
