Bono Invites Man Holding Sign Onstage To Play Guitar For His Wife

[photogallerylink id=72396 align=right] Bono gave one man a chance to shine and show his love for his wife over the weekend at a [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]U2[/lastfm] concert.

According to Rolling Stone while U2 was performing in Nashville yesterday Bono saw a blind man holding up a sign saying he wanted to play a song for his wife.  Bono invited the man up to the stage and asked him what he wanted to play. They performed “All I Want Is You” together and when the song ended Bono gave the man the guitar to keep as a souvenir.

Lyrics:

You say you want diamonds on a ring of gold
You say you want your story to remain untold
But all the promises we make
From the cradle to the grave
When all I want is you

You say you’ll give me a highway with no one on it
Treasure, just to look upon it
All the riches in the night
You say you’ll give me eyes in a moon of blindness
A river in a time of dryness
A harbour in the tempest
But all the promises we make
From the cradle to the grave
When all I want is you

You say you want your love to work out right
To last with me through the night
You say you want diamonds on a ring of gold
Your story to remain untold
Your love not to grow cold
All the promises we break
From the cradle to the grave
When all I want is you

All I want is you
All I want is you
All I want is you
