Paul McCartney Composes His First Ballet

Sir [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Paul McCartney[/lastfm] is releasing his first ballet, Ocean’s Kingdom, commissioned by the New York City Ballet. Decca Records will release it on October 4. But this isn’t the first time Paul has worked with that record company.

[photogallerylink id=76685 align=right]Paul and the rest of the [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]The Beatles[/lastfm] auditioned for Decca in 1962 but were famously rejected with the words, “The Beatles have no future in show business.” ‘Ocean’s Kingdom is a love story in an underwater society that’s threatened by the humans of earth. The ballet premieres September 22 in New York.
