[photogallerylink id=64354 align=right]Whitney Houston is in talks to make her return to the big screen in a remake of the 1976 musical Sparkle, which is loosely based on the story of [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]The Supremes[/lastfm]. Houston would be joining a cast which already includes American Idol winner [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Jordin Sparks[/lastfm] and comedian Mike Epps.

The movie was approved for incentives to film right here in Metro Detroit! If she takes the role, it will be her first time on the big screen since 1997 with The Preacher’s Wife.
