You’re invited to head for the Southfield Public Library tonight and learn about the traditions and customs celebrated in Africa.
They’re calling it Exploring Africa In Southfield tonight at the Southfield Public Library. The evening begins at 6 and all ages are invited to celebrate the African continent.
Those attending will get a first hand look at holidays and other celebrations in Africa and learn how observances such as Christmas have been woven into African society.
Your host for the evening will be Michigan State University professor emeritus J. Calvin McCray. And you’re encouraged to come to the celebration dressed in African attire.
