Plans have finally been confirmed for a Beach Boys reunion tour in celebration of their 50th anniversary in 2012 that will include 50 dates, kicking off in April at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. Along with the 50th anniversary tour, The Beach Boys have come together to record a brand new studio album and commemorative catalog releases.

“This anniversary is special to me because I miss the boys and it will be a thrill for me to make a new record and be on stage with them again,” said Brian Wilson in The Beach Boys’ 2012 Celebration press release.

Al Jardine says, “I’m really excited for our fans to be able to see us again in concert on the world stage, and to celebrate our 50th anniversary together with a new studio album.”
