Fansite Thrasher’s Wheat claims Neil Young has recorded one new album with Crazy Horse with another one is in the works! The rumor is half backed by Young’s recent announcement at the Slamdance Film Festival that he is indeed working with the band again. Rolling Stone reports Crazy Horse drummer, Ralph Molina’s, was questioned on Facebook if the collaboration news was true and he responded “Yes!”

If  there is indeed a new album this will be the first Neil Young Crazy Horse album since Broken Arrow in 1996, that is if you don’t count the shelved away Toast circa 2000.

While Young/Crazy Horse collaborations are not always my favorite I’ll take any new Neil Young music I can get! 2012 is going to be a very good year for music indeed!
