February 10th 1956, Elvis Presley records what will be his first number one pop record and his first million seller, “Heartbreak Hotel“.  Written by Mae Boren Axton, it tells the story about the suicide of a lonely man who jumped from a hotel window.  The song freatures Chet Atkins on guitar and Floyd Cramer on piano.
