It’s the Motown Winter Blast underway today through Sunday at Campus Martius Park in downtown Detroit. If it has anything to do with winter you’ll find it at this year’s blast!
The Motown Winter Blast begins this morning and continues through Sunday at Campus Martius Park in downtown Detroit. While many other winter events have been cancelled due to a lack of winter, Chuck Gaidica says we’re in for some of the coldest temps so far this winter season this weekend. Thanks Chuck, just when we need it and actually want it!
You’ll find nearly non-stop music on the big stage. The Winter Experience features ice sculptures, pro and amateur skating exhibitions, snow-shoeing (very popular), free ice skating and marshmallow roasting. Yum.
Drop by the Kids Zone and your kids will love the puppets, magicians, jugglers and comedians.
Don’t forget about the Taste of Detroit. Your favorite restaurants will be there providing delicious food and beverages to warm you up!
The Motown Winter Blast runs from 11am-11pm today and tomorrow and from 11am-9pm Sunday.
And here’s an idea. Why not book a room at the beautiful Westin Book Cadillac Hotel? They’re offering a very special rate of just $135 a night and that includes valet parking. You can’t beat that with a stick!
