I’ll spend today whipping up my world-famous Fulleritas!! Ole’! Now THAT’s a Holiday I can wrap my lips around! Cheers!
Came to the station today in my ugly Hawaiian shirt with the blender in tow! It’s National Margarita Day!
What better therapy after this brutal winter, and to get ready for all those summer parties around the tiki bar, is there than an ice-cold Margarita? I just happen to make the best Margarita’s this side of the border you know! I guard my recipe pretty close, but I’ll share it with you if you promise to keep it quiet.
There are about a thousand ways to make a Margarita, but here’s the secret to my world-famous Fulleritas:
Lime Wedge
Salt (I usually skip it, but you may like it on the rim of your glass)
2 oz. Patron Silver 100% Agave Tequila
1 and a half oz .Grand Marnier ( Some people use Triple Sec, I think Grand Marnier give’s it a better taste..plus a good “Kick”!)
1 and a half oz. fresh squeezed lime juice
Now, this isn’t written in stone. Home made Margaritas usually take some ‘tweaking”, that’s the fun part!
So, whether you like it straight-up or frozen, home-made or pre-mixed, let’s raise a glass and crank up [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Margaritaville[/lastfm]!
Happy Margarita Day!
