To help celebrate President’s Day week the Detroit Zoo and Detroit Historical Museum are cutting patrons some slack this week. It might be a good way to get out and work off some of those paczki calories we loaded up on yesterday!
In honor of President’s Day week the Detroit Zoo invites you to enjoy the zoo in a nice, winter setting for $2 off the regular admission price. However to take advantage of this deal you’ll have to go online to the zoo’s website and download a coupon. Among the interesting fun things to check out during the winter at the zoo are the Arctic Ring of Life and the snow monkeys as they cavort around at the zoo. Winter zoo hours are 10am-4pm. The zoo is located at the intersection of 10 Mile Road and Woodward in Royal Oak.
Also to celebrate President’s Day week, the folks at the Detroit Historical Museum are offering a great deal. Students get in free all this week. Among the fun things to check out at the museum include Detroit Toy Stories, the Streets of Old Detroit and from Frontiers to Factories. The Detroit Historical Museum is located at 5401 Woodward in the cultural center area of Detroit. They’ve also extended the hours of operation this week from 9:30am-5pm.
