Gas prices have been all over the place at many stations over the past week but mainly up. At the station where I fill up prices started last week at $3.79. Then they went up to $3.84. Then to $3.95 and most recently back to $3.89. It’s enough to make your head spin!
Gas prices have been a bit crazy over the past week at many Detroit stations but in general they continue their upward trend.
The Lundberg Survey says over the past two weeks prices have increased by twelve cents a gallon to a nationwide average of $3.81.
Checking with michigangasprices.com the cheapest petrol we could find in Metro Detroit was $3.66 at the Mobile on Warren Avenue near Alter Road in Detroit. Several stations in Lake Orion were dispensing motion lotion for $3.69.
As for the most expensive gallon in Michigan,the BP in Romulus is conspicuously absent this time according to michigangasprices.com. The most expensive gas in Michigan can now be found at Gene’s Service in Norton Shores where it’s going for a hefty $4.36.
This is funny. On my way into work this morning one major station listed a price of $3.37. Obviously somebody screwed up on that one!
