Eric Clapton Buys A $4.75 Million Ferrari

Yahoo reports the SPC-12 EPC or Special Project Car No. 12 Eric Patrick Clapton Ferrari took two years to build. It began as a Ferrari 458 Italia but it was redesigned to look like and older model Ferrari. Clapton wanted the car to have a V12 but it wouldn’t fit under the hood so it has its original V8.

In an interview with Top Speed Eric Clapton said: “I love the sound of Ferraris and I, as a musician, can confirm that these engines deliver proper music. I have to say that my weak point is the 12-cylinders’ music.” So, it’s no wonder he wants a V12 in his future Italia.

Clapton has been a Ferrari fan for decades. According to Top Speed he has owned an Enzo, F50, 550 Maranello, 365 GT4 BB, BB512, Testarossa, 512 TR, F512M..
