When was the last time you visited the Detroit Historical Museum? If it’s been a long time or if you’ve never experienced it, now is the perfect time. To celebrate Spring Break, the museum is offering half off admission and extended hours.
The Detroit Historical Museum is offering a great deal now through April 15th. It’s a special Spring Break promotion made possible by the Masco Corporation Foundation.
Now through the 15th the museum is offering half off admission plus they are extending their hours. The special Spring Break hours are from 9:30am-5pm. The only exception to this promotion is on Sunday, April 8th. That’s Easter and the museum will be closed.
Kids will love the exhibit “Detroit Toy Stories” at the museum. This exhibit features more than 7,000 toys from several generations of Detroiters. Plus you’ll find play stations throughout the gallery to lure young and old to sit down and play games. And the toy exhibit is only the beginning of what the museum has to offer. Check out the Streets of Old Detroit, Frontiers to Factories, The Motor City and Glancy Trains and much more.
The Detroit Historical Museum is located at 5401 Woodward in Midtown Detroit at the NW corner of Woodward and Kirby. Normal adult admission is $6. Seniors (60+), college kids with valid ID, and youngin’s 5-18 usually pay $4. Kids 4 and under are free. But take half off the above mentioned prices for the Spring Break promotion through April 15th. And keep in mind parking is $4 at all times.
