[photogallerylink id=107890 align=right] Whitney Houston’s final autopsy report confirms what fans had feared… drug paraphernalia was found in Houston’s hotel room and she had cocaine throughout her system when she died.
The report explains that a “spoon with a white crystal like substance in it, a rolled up piece of white paper from off the top of a counter along the east wall of the bathroom” were found. The report also states “‘Located in the top drawer, in the north side of the counter were remnants of a white powdery substance, and a portable mirror on a base.”
The report does not identify the substances.
In addition to cocaine, varying levels of marijuana, Xanax, Flexeril and Benadryl were found in Houston’s system. The report also mentions a “plethora” of pill bottles, beer bottles, a champagne bottle and cigarette butts in the hotel room.
Other conditions around Houston’s death add to the sad picture of events. Houston was found by her assistant face down in the tub, “‘her eyes were congested and there was a bloody purge coming from her nose.” In addition she had ‘”superficial abrasions to the left side of her forehead and the bridge of her nose. She also had cuts on her left arm, hand and shoulder.”
Houston’s heart was burdened by a 60% blockage to the right coronary artery. The water in Houston’s bathtub was very warm. Nearly six hours after her death a detective recorded the water at 93.5°. It’s notable Houston also had a hole in her septum which is often found in long-time drug abusers.
Houston died on February 11, 2012. She is survived by her daughter Bobby Kristina, her music and millions of fans. Houston’s last film, Sparkle, is set to hit theaters August 17, 2012.
