[photogallerylink id=50815 align=right] When Ringo Starr sang ‘It Don’t Come Easy’ he meant it! Taking to the stage is anything but natural for the legendary 71-year-old. Starr reportedly suffers from stage fright and has been managing his performance anxiety since the 1960′s!
The Daily Mirror reportedly chatted with Starr who said, “I have actually puked before I went on as all my nerves come to the fore.” Speaking of nerves he added, “It is part of what I am and it happens before every show” and “Every night I just hope that tonight is the night when I am going to feel like Frank Sinatra. I hope, ‘You are just going to stroll on’, but I haven’t made it yet – I always run.”
Ringo also explained that he feels a lot better as soon as he takes the mic.
Starr’s honesty on the subject is potentially inspiring for the millions of people who suffer from anxiety disorders. Thanks for sharing, Ringo!
