Ted Nugent has found himself in the headlines lately.  The conservative Michigan rocker stirred up a controversy last week at an NRA convention by saying “I’ll tell you this right now, if Barack Obama becomes the president in November again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year” and “We need to ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November!”

Nugent was investigated by the Secret Service.  The U.S. Army has canceled Nugent’s June 23rd appearance at Fort Knox. The Army posted the following message on Facebook page; “After learning of opening act Ted Nugent’s recent public comments about the president of the United States, Fort Knox leadership decided to cancel his performance on the installation.”

Lost gigs aren’t the only dark clouds hanging over Nugent.

Nugent shot and killed a bear illegally on Sukkwan Island in 2009. The kill was considered illegal as Nugent had previously injured another bear in the same season. On Friday Nugent’s signed plea agreement was filed.  He agreed to pay $10,000 and run PSAs on the responsibility of knowing the rules and regulations of hunting.
