Who would have thought women have more tats than men, not I. Over one in five American adults has a tattoo and it is blowing up in popularity with women. Now for the first time more women have tattoos, 23% than men coming in at 19%, overall that’s up 14% from 2008. Why? Thirty percent say it makes them feel sexy, 25% say it makes them feel rebellious and 21% say it makes them feel attractive or strong. Most are in the Western US followed by the East, Midwest, and then South according to American News Report. But what about here in Metro Detroit? Take the Beau Poll below.
