Could it be that your internet addition is hereditary?
Researchers are saying they have new evidence of a genetic variant addicted smokers have linked to internet addiction. The gene is known as CHRNA4 has been linked to other addictions. The head of the study says, ‘It was shown that Internet addiction is not a figment of our imagination,.’
A total of 843 people were involved in the study about their internet habits, of those, they found 132 online addicts. The Daily Mail story says, almost all of the 132 are more often carriers of a genetic variation that also plays a major role in nicotine addiction, and has been linked to loneliness and depression.
So maybe, you can blame your parents on your internet addition, even though the internet might not have been invented in their time? Strange.
