KISS & Mötley Crüe Show Postponed In Detroit Until September 6th

The KISS army has hit a snag on their way in to Detroit Rock City. KISS and Mötley Crüe were supposed to play DTE Energy Music Theatre tonight (September 5th), but due to an accident with their pryo truck the show has been postponed until Thursday, September 6th.

Representatives from KISS and Mötley Crüe emailed us to explain what had happened. Their email stated that “on its way to Detroit, our pyro truck was involved in an accident and flipped spilling our gear all along the freeway. We owe you the show you expect and deserve, so we’ve jointly decided to give our crews the 24 hours necessary to piece everything together to make it possible. The party is now Thursday Night September 6th. See you there!”

Nikki Sixx of Mötley Crüe tweeted photos of the accident and also indicated that the driver of the flipped truck was ok.

The show will take place at DTE Energy Music Theatre tomorrow, Thursday, September 6. Tickets for tonight’s show (September 6th) will be honored tomorrow night (September 7th).
