The Ann Arbor band that gave us “Smokin’ in the Boy’s Room” is back in 2012. Original members Michael Lutz (guitar and vocals) and Henry “H-Bomb” Weck (drums) are joined by Andy Patalan, Billy Craig and Greg Beyer on a new album called “Still Smokin’” available now on iTunes.
Brownsville Station was formed in Ann Arbor Michigan in 1969 by Cub Koda and Michael Lutz and had huge success nationally with their album “Yeah” which spawned “Smokin’ in the Boy’s Room” a number 3 hit on Billboard’s Hot 100in 1973, The record sold more than 2 million copies.
Cub Koda died of kidney disease on July 1st, 2000. His on stage antics influenced many including Peter Wolf of the J. Giels Band and Alice Cooper.
The band has plans for more new music and live shows.
