Here are the codes to price tags at Sears, Walmart, Target and Costco. If you know of any more, please email Stacey at firstname.lastname@example.org or post them on Bobby & Stacey’s Facebook page. Let’s help each other save this Holiday Season!
Target‘s full prices end in 9. So the first price tag will be $14.99 or $27.99, something like that. Then, every time Target discounts the product, the final digit of the price drops. The lowest the last digit will drop is 4. If you see something you want at Target and the price ends in 4, buy it. The price won’t go any lower.
If it ends in.99, that’s the regular price.
If it ends in .98, no coupons or sales.
If it ends in .88, that’s a close out price.
If it ends in.97, the item is on clearance and/or discontinued.
And if it ends in .93, the item is refurbished and/or from an open-box.
.99 means regular price.
.97 means clearance.
Prices ending in unusual cents (.84, .49, etc) are special buy and deeply discounted.
And an * in the corner of the price tag means item will not be re-ordered.
If you see a “c” after the cents on a tag it means the item has been discontinued.
