With the Christmas season upon us, it’s heartwarming to see the artists we know and love giving something back to those in need. Their generosity shouldn’t go unnoticed. Motown legend Stevie Wonder is one of them.
Every year he hosts an event in Los Angeles called “House Full of Toys”. At this years benefit Stevie made a personal donation of $100,000 to the family of a young girl, Jasmine Faulk, who is suffering from a rare form of cancer. He brought her up on stage during the show and sang “Isn’t She Lovely” to her and presented the donation. Actor Charlie Sheen also made a $75,000 contribution to the family.
Jasmine’s father is a police officer who also works part time for Wonder as a private security officer.
This was Stevie Wonder’s 17th annual “House Full of Toys” fundraiser, hosted by Steve Harvey and featured performances by Wonder along with Justin Bieber & Michael McDonald, Plus Little Anthony and The Imperials.
