Chefs Are Upset At People Instagramming Their Food

I hate the way Instagram photos look. IMO the throwback effects make things look dated, including people and now food. An Instagram photo of food does not make it look very appetizing. Chefs have reacted to this as seen in the story by the NY Times. People love to shoot shots of food at restaurants that they love, but the actions can also be distracting. One chef says, there are even those who stand on their chairs to shoot their plates from above, “We get on top of those folks right away or else it’s like a circus.” The pictures often make their way to Yelp and Urban Spoon. Who wants to eat food that looks like it came for 1970?
