104.3 WOMC Radiothon For Gleaners

No child should ever go hungry but right here in the Motor City the number of children living in poverty has more than doubled in the last decade. One in four kids are now at risk of hunger.  But there is hope.

Join the 104.3 WOMC Radiothon for Gleaners, Wednesday, February 13th from 6 a.m. – 8 p.m., for a very special broadcast Live from Gleaners Community Food Bank Of Southeastern Michigan. During the Radiothon your gift will be doubled! That means, every dollar you give will provide six meals for a hungry child.

Become a Hunger Hero by donating at least $20 a month for 12 months during the 104.3 WOMC Radiothon. All Hunger Heroes will receive a limited edition Made In Detroit t-shirt and a pair of tickets to an upcoming Detroit Pistons game! About Gleaners

Gleaners distributes over 45 million pounds of emergency food to more than 550 partner schools, shelters and pantries in Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Livingston and Monroe counties. Gleaners provides the equivalent of over 100,000  meals per day to people who otherwise cannot afford the food they need. Of every dollar donated, Gleaners uses 93 cents for food and food programs. One dollar provides three meals for a hungry neighbor.
