Usually when you’re not invited to something an invitation would never arrive. The new trend now is “Don’t Save The Date Cards”. These are mostly used for weddings. I guess it takes out the awkward conversations about a wedding with those who are not invited. Those who never anticipated an invitation could take it as a dig, in fact I think that is the best way to use them. Use them if you would like to get back at an ex partner or ex friend who messed up a past party.
