Here are the big winners from the 2013 Oscars – there were very few surprises: Argo won Best Picture, Christoph Waltz won Best Supporting Actor, Anne Hathaway won Best Supporting Actress, Ang Lee won for directing Life of Pi, Adele won Original Song for Skyfall (it’s the first time a Bond theme has won).  And, as nearly everyone predicted, Daniel Day Lewis won Best Actor for his portrayal of Abraham Lincoln. Jennifer Lawrence took a tumble on the way to the stage to accept Best Actress which sparked a standing ovation.

But no one left a loser: All nominees were presented with goodie bags worth $47,802.  This was the LEAST expensive gift bag in five years.  This year’s bag included gift certificates for Australian vacations, interior decorating services, weight-loss retreats, expensive hand cream, and passes to VIP clubs at airports. You know, all those things that celebrities rarely have access to.
