Foreigner stars Mick Jones and Lou Gramm will perform on stage together for the first time in over a decade at the Songwriters Hall of Fame awards ceremony in New York City on June 13.
The Hall of Fame says the band is responsible for some of the greatest rock anthems of our time, including the worldwide #1 hit, “I Want To Know What Love Is,” which today remains as one of the 25 most performed songs in the ASCAP catalog.
Lou Gramm played his last show with the band in 2003. Jones stated that he and Gramm split, because they weren’t communicating. “I think we really tried hard to save it, but it got to the point when we both realized that to go on would be detrimental for both of us.”
Gramm left Foreginer for the first time in 1990 to further pursue his solo career which produced several Top 10 hit singles including, “Midnight Blue”, “Just Between You And Me” and the Top 40 hit “True Blue Love.”
