McCartney Surprises His Son James Onstage

Paul McCartney lent his son James a hand at the younger Macca’s show Wednesday night at the Ambassador’s Club in London.

Ronnie Wood had announced he would be sitting in, but papa Paul was a surprise when he sat at the piano and joined James and Ronnie on “As Strong as You,” “It’s All About Rock ‘n’ Roll” and “New York Times.” Wood also played on “Mexico,” “Snow” and “Wings of a Lightest Weight.”

James was playing the show as a warm-up for his U.S. tour, which starts on April 6th in Portland, Oregon.

There are currently no Detroit dates on the tour.  The closest McCartney will be is Cleveland Ohio at the Beachland Ballroom and Tavern Saturday May 11th.
