Bobby & Stacey Chat With Bob Seger

Bob Seger played The Palace just two years ago in May, but told Bobby & Stacey that fans can expect a very different set list at the shows this week.

What might be different at the Bob Seger shows this year at The Palace?

“We’re doing Like A Rock which is really fun and we’re getting a huge response,” Bob  told Bobby & Stacey. “You know it’s so great; it’s kinda like when Alto plays the sax on Turn The Page, once people recognize the song we’re playing – because it starts out really, really quiet – and once I sing the first line,  it’s a huge response. So it’s a lot of fun. We haven’t done it for 27 years, so it’s like a new song for us.” What? Seriously? It’s been 27 years? What up, Bob? “Part of the problem was Rick Vito took off for Fleetwood Mac and we could never find anybody who could play it very well. Our new guitar player, Rob McNelley, from Nashville nails it and that’s unusual. So rather than not do it well, we didn’t do it. And it’s a really long song, too – it’s about six minutes and we had to find a spot for it, but it’s working good in the set now.”
