This year’s Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction class includes a great mix of classic rock (Rush, Heart), hip-hop (Public Enemy) and disco (the late Donna Summer). Radio.com spoke about the Rock Hall’s “Class of ’13” with a number of music experts: Entertainment Weekly‘s Leah Greenblatt, Rolling Stone‘s Anthony DeCurtis, Vibe Magazine‘s Jermaine Hall, music journalist and author Alan Light, as well as Radio.com‘s Jillian Mapes and Erik Parker, not to mention Sheryl Crow, Reverend Run of Run-D.M.C. and Lynyrd Skynyrd‘s Gary Rossington, Johnny Van Zant and Rickey Medlocke (Run and Rossington are both Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees).
Other Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame inductees this year include Randy Newman, the late Albert King, and non-performers Quincy Jones and Lou Adler. The induction ceremony takes place Thursday night a the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles Thursday night (April 18), and Radio.com will be providing coverage throughout the night.
