Cleveland Kidnapping Hero Charles Ramsey Goes Viral

The country is still captivated by the three women who were freed from captivity on Monday and the good Samaritan who helped free them, Charles Ramsey

Three Cleveland women, missing for a decade, were found alive yesterday at a house where they were held captive. The local ABC affiliate interviewed Charles Ramsey, a neighbor who helped them escape. It’s one of the greatest interviews ever.

The restaurant dishwasher, who has become a viral video sensation, told CNN’s Anderson Cooper on Tuesday that he’s now having trouble sleeping because he was living right next to the house where the captive women were being held and didn’t know it.

“Up until yesterday the only thing that kept me from losing sleep was the lack of money. So now that’s going on, I could have done this last year, not this hero stuff. Just do the right thing.”

Ramsey told Cooper he doesn’t feel like a hero:

“No, no, no, no. Bro, I’m a Christian, an American. I’m just like you. We bleed the same blood and put our pants on the same way.”
