Lionel Richie: Finally, A North America Tour!

After spending the past decade mainly performing overseas, Lionel Richie has announced a month-long North American tour for this fall.

The former Commodores frontman kicks off the “All the Hits All Night Long Tour” on September 18th at the Hard Rock in Hollywood, Florida. Among the featured dates are September 22nd at Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut; September 24th at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York; October 3rd at Caesars Casino in Windsor, Ontario; and the closing night, October 18th, at the Hollywood Bowl in L.A.

Making the announcement on his website, Richie says, “I’m so lucky to have the collection of songs that I can play for my fans. It becomes a giant sing-along most nights. People always ask me, ‘What are you going to sing tonight, Lionel?’ and I always laugh and reply, ‘What are you going to sing tonight’?”

He’s also busy writing and recording new music, and plans to release a new album in 2014. His 2012 collection of duets, “Tuskeegee”, went to number-one on the “Billboard” album chart.
