Three Years For Not Paying $70 Restaurant Bill

A man who told servers he couldn’t pay a $70 restaurant bill was sentenced to three years in jail. Anthony Malabehar, ordered a $70 meal at the Alamo Steak House and told the server he wouldn’t be paying. “He told her with a smile on his face, ‘I need to tell you a secret — I don’t have any money,'” Alamo general manager Alex Schmink said. Turns out Malabehar, had just been let out of jail for a similar crime which was a $100 tab, that with least 13 prior convictions for theft or burglary and 70 prior arrests on theft charges earns Malabehar the jacked up sentence.
