The long-delayed film will be directed by Tate Taylor, the man behind the camera for “The Help”, and will feature appearances by Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer, who co-starred in that movie. Filming will take place in November and December in and near Natchez, Mississippi — a nine-hour drive from Brown’s childhood home of Augusta, Georgia.
