Author Tom Clancy Dead At 66

Absolutely one of my favorite authors of all time, Tom Clancy, died Tuesday night, at the age of 66, in a Baltimore hospital.  Thus far no cause of death has been reported.

The best selling novelist, born in Baltimore Maryland, was best know for his thrilling espionage stories featuring the character Jack Ryan.  His detailed knowledge of military science was second to none.  Clancy was also part owner of the Baltimore Orioles baseball team.

His novels included:  “Hunt For Red October”, “Patriot Games”, “Clear and Present Danger” and “The Sum of All Fears” which were all turned into successful motion pictures.

Clancy also lent his name to several successful video games including “Rainbow Six” and “Ghost Recon”.
