Character actor and writer-director Harold Ramis has died. He was 69.
Ramis is best remembered for his roles in the comedies “Stripes” and “Ghostbusters”, but he also directed such classics as “Caddyshack” and “Groundhog Day”. More recently, he’d directed four episodes of “The Office”.
Ramis passed away in the early hours of this morning (Monday) of autoimmune inflammatory vasculitis, a rare disease that involves swelling of the blood vessels.
