If the new Godzilla movie starring Bryan Cranston from Breaking Bad coming out this May doesn’t give you enough of your radioactive lizard fix, G-FEST 2014 will be sure to be a Godzilla fans dream come true.
G-FEST is the largest regular gathering of Godzilla and Japanese monster fans in the world. Held from July 11th to July 13th, 2014, at the Crowne Plaza Chicago O’Hare, it typically attracts more than 1000 attendees. According to g-fan.com, G-FEST 2013 was the most successful convention to date, bringing in more than 2000 Japanese science fiction and fantasy film fans!
G-FEST is a family-oriented convention which caters to a wide variety of interests within the kaiju genre.G-FEST features presentations and Q & A sessions by actors and crew from the Japanese Godzilla films, fan presentations on topics of interest, contests and gaming, new and classic kaiju movies, the western world’s largest kaiju-oriented dealers room, and lots of fun and camaraderie.
Special Guests appearing at G-FEST XXI are actors Tomoko Ai, Katsuhiko Sasaki, Yosuke Natsuki (live via Skype), Don Frye, Robert Scott Field, special effects director Koichi Kawakita, and sculptor/model maker Hiroshi Sagae.
