It’s Turntable Tuesday And Elton John Is Bringing “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” to the Party

Elton John‘s 40th anniversary edition of Goodbye Yellow Brick Road is now available on yellow vinyl. Elton, who is still a big fan of vinyl, tells us, “There’s something about it that makes you listen it to so much in a deeper way.”

When Elton started his AIDS Foundation in the early ’90s, he used the sale of his record collection to get it up and running. Since last September, he has purchased a turntable system and replaced many of the albums and singles he sold. “Nothing’s better than sitting down and listening to an album on vinyl… It never lost its magic.”

Elton will reportedly make a cameo appearance in The Secret Service, a movie starring Samuel L. JacksonColin Firth and Michael Caine that is due out in October. Others rumored to have small parts are Taylor Swift and Lada Gaga, who is godmother to Elton’s sons.
